Eva Amakali, a dedicated member of the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund with a background in nursing and management, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
Amakali began her educational journey at the University of Namibia in 1991, where she pursued a diploma in nursing science and later obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing education.
She furthered her academic pursuits with a master's degree in nursing science in 2006, solidifying her foundation in the healthcare field.
Throughout her career, Amakali has worked in various clinical and educational settings, including Engela District Hospital, Oshakati Regional Referral Hospital and the National Health Training Centre within the health ministry.
Her transition to the MVA Fund in 2007 marked a pivotal moment in her career, where she established the case management section at the Ongwediva MVA Fund Service Centre.
As senior manager, Amakali oversees MVA Fund operations across multiple regions, ensuring the efficient delivery of services to stakeholders. She is committed to fostering a culture of teamwork and empowerment among employees, believing in the importance of collaboration and employee engagement.

Holistic needs
Beyond her professional commitments, Amakali is a devoted wife and mother of four daughters. She finds fulfilment in managing a poultry farming venture and is dedicated to serving others and making meaningful contributions to the community.
Amakali's dedication to addressing the holistic needs of individuals affected by accidents is exemplified by her initiative to organise a Christmas party for families caring for loved ones with acquired physical or mental impairments.
This annual event has become a cherished tradition embraced by the fund.
In her role, Amakali's strengths lie in effective time management, assertiveness, active listening and a continuous commitment to learning and improvement.
