Junias Victor, a dedicated and experienced investigations officer at the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF), has a rich educational background and an impressive career in law enforcement.
With a Bachelor of Criminal Justice and an honours degree from the Polytechnic of Namibia - now known as the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) - Victor brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
In his position at GIPF, he is responsible for reviewing and investigating death benefit claims. His main goal is to ensure that all discrepancies hindering the finalisation of claims are resolved and that all rightful beneficiaries receive benefits due to them.
With a background in law enforcement, he has proven to be well capacitated in handling the complexities of investigating claims and ensuring that payments are effected in accordance with the fund rules.
Prior to joining GIPF, Victor had a successful career as a police officer for 13 years, specialising in crime prevention, investigations and traffic law enforcement.
He holds certificates in basic police training, leadership and management, and a traffic diploma, all of which have helped shape his skills and abilities as an investigations officer.

Fulfilling and rewarding
Since his appointment at GIPF during November 2023, Victor has found his work fulfilling and rewarding.
The positive working environment and conducive organisational culture allows him to thrive in his role, and he takes great pride in being able to bring comfort and closure to bereaved GIPF members through his investigative work.
In the short-term, his goals are to finalise investigations efficiently and to continuously improve himself in his role.
He aims to be the best investigations officer he can be - not only for personal growth, but also to contribute to reducing the turn-around times of investigations within the fund.
Victor said he is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of GIPF members through his diligent and thorough investigative work.
By conducting thorough investigations and ensuring that all rightful beneficiaries are identified and receive their benefits, he can bring a sense of relief and satisfaction to members in their time of need.
Seeing the impact of his work on members' lives and being able to provide them with the support they deserve is what drives him to excel in his role.
