Namib Mills has announced the appointment of Shaniqua Hein as junior brand manager. She began working at the company in July.
With a strong background in marketing and a passion for innovation, Hein is eager to make her mark at one of Namibia’s most renowned companies.
Reflecting on her decision to take on the role, she said: “I decided that it was time to further develop my professional career and gain experience within my studied major, marketing. Especially after going through a graduate in-training programme at Bipa."
For Hein, joining Namib Mills is the realisation of her goals. “It’s always been a dream of mine to work at Namib Mills. And this opportunity, besides being the first checkmark on a bucket list, also lights a path towards career excellence and advancement within my desired profession,” she said.

New ideas
As she steps into her new role, she is committed to bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table.
“I plan on utilising my creativity and ingenuity to the company’s and our clients’ best interests,” she explained.
She said being a part of this new generation, a strong belief of hers is that her experiences and views allow her to relate to the next generation of Namibia’s diverse and talented workforce.
This skill will allow her to communicate and market Namib Mills’ values genuinely and transparently to everyone’s satisfaction.
While the position presents new challenges, Hein is optimistic. “I am very excited, and a little bit nervous, to be honest. It’s a lot of new challenges and information to take on, but I look forward to overcoming these and learning from Namibia’s best,” she said.
Offering advice to future job seekers, she emphasised patience and timing.
“It can be tempting to take the first job that comes your way, but sometimes, in the waiting and that season of preparation, you are getting moulded for a better one than you could have ever dreamed for,” she shared.
