His typical day as an internal auditor involves analysis of financial records, scrutiny of processes and frequent communication with various departments. Armed with highly analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, he tackles each task with an on-hands approach, ensuring effective navigation through various scenarios.
"I have a very hands-on approach to getting things done – highly analytical, strong problem-solving skills, and a good ability to adapt to conditions and scenarios. It helps a lot to have these skills," he said.
Despite the demanding nature of his profession, Shikuambi finds time to pursue his passions outside the confines of the office. As a part-time football player, he relishes the thrill of the game.
While off the pitch, he unleashes his creativity by designing a streetwear line and capturing moments on film as a skilled videographer. For Shikuambi, life is about seizing every opportunity and channelling passion into tangible achievements.

In pursuit of goals
Looking ahead, his aspirations are as multifaceted as his persona. Professionally, he aims to obtain certification in internal auditing, expanding his expertise in risk and compliance across various industries. Personally, he prioritises maintaining physical and mental fitness while enjoying travel and pursuing continuous self-improvement.
Reflecting on his journey so far, Shikuambi acknowledges the wisdom encapsulated in Alfredo James Pacino's quote: "Life's a game of inches." For him, success is not merely about grand victories but the accumulation of small, consistent efforts. Each day presents an opportunity to fight for an inch, inching closer to his goals with an unwavering desire for excellence.
