The first round of the African Marketing Fistball League took place last weekend at the SFC grounds on Swakopmund, marking the return of league competition after a one-year break.

Teams from across Namibia competed in both the A and B leagues, as well as in several youth categories.

In the A League, Cohen Fistball Club (CFC) 1 made a strong start to the season, finishing the opening round at the top of the standings with 12 points.

Hosts SFC 1 followed closely with 10 points, while SKW 1 secured third place with eight points. CFC 2 and SKW 2 completed the standings with three and one point respectively.

The B League saw SKW 3 dominate the opening round. With 12 points, they finished ahead of SFC 2, who collected nine points. CFC 3 placed third with six points, followed by SKW 4 with three points, while SFC 3 is still aiming for their first point.

Youth competitions were also held alongside the senior matches. In the U12 tournament, SKW 1 finished first with nine points, ahead of CFC 1 with 6 points. SFC 2 and SFC 1 followed with one point each.

In the U15 category, SKW secured first place with six points, while CFC and SFC both finished with one point.

The U18 league also saw SKW 1 take the lead after the first round with six points, followed by CFC 1 with three points. SFC 1 is still searching for their first points of the season.

Individual performances were also recognised, with Malte Iben (U12), Marko von Flotow (U15) and Claudia Schlettwein (senior league) named Players of the Day.

The opening round at SFC provided an exciting start to the new season, and the African Marketing Fistball League promises many more competitive matches as the 2026 season continues.
