Spread love and joy to Tses elders
Accompanied by Raymond Ignatius Jossop, Councillor of Berseba, and members of the Tses Village Council including Chairperson Lena Areab and other council members, brought together over 250 elders for a day filled with warmth, appreciation and connection last week Saturday. The gathering, organised in collaboration with the Governor’s Youth Desk, treated the elderly to a joyful lunch in an atmosphere that radiated unity and care. Laughter echoed throughout the venue as elders shared stories and enjoyed the company of fellow community members. One of the most touching highlights of the day was a role-play session, where the elders expressed what love means to them. Their heartfelt reflections served as a powerful reminder of the enduring values of compassion, respect, and togetherness principles that continue to shape strong and resilient communities.
Gertze took time to personally engage with the elders, sharing moments of conversation, encouragement, and laughter. His presence underscored the importance of valuing and honouring those who have paved the way for future generations. Music filled the air as the elders joined in song, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere. Dressed in shades of red and white symbolising love, unity and peace the participants added a colourful touch to an already memorable occasion. The event not only celebrated the lives and contributions of the elderly but also strengthened community bonds, highlighting the importance of caring for one another. It was a beautiful reminder that when communities come together in love and respect, they create lasting memories and a shared sense of belonging.
