Valeria joins OSAAT Africa

OSAAT Africa Health Foundation announced the appointment of Valeria Chomore as the organisation’s new National Director, effective 7 October 2025.
Currently a medical student at the University of Namibia, Chomore has been an integral member of OSAAT Africa for several years and continues to embody the organisation’s core values of service, compassion and empowerment.
Chomore’s journey with OSAAT Africa Health Foundation began as a volunteer, where her dedication and leadership quickly set her apart. Her exceptional commitment led to her appointment as Operations Manager, a role in which she successfully coordinated health education programmes, scholarship initiatives, clinic operations, and digital health projects that have had a lasting impact on communities across Namibia.
Guided by the belief that true leadership is grounded in empathy, inclusion, and community-led action, Chomore’s approach aligns seamlessly with the mission of OSAAT Africa Health Foundation. In her new role, she aims to expand women’s health initiatives, strengthen sexual and reproductive health programmes, and promote greater youth participation in healthcare. She is also committed to leveraging digital health innovations to make healthcare more accessible and equitable, particularly for underserved communities.
“Becoming National Director feels deeply personal to me,” said Chomore. “I have seen first-hand how the lack of access to healthcare affects people in disadvantaged communities, and that is what drives me every day. My goal is to ensure that every woman and girl, no matter where she comes from or what she has, can access quality care and make informed choices about her health. This is more than a role for me; it is a calling to continue building something that truly changes lives.”
OSAAT Africa Health Foundation’s mission is to provide quality women’s and sexual reproductive health services to all, regardless of social or economic status. Under Valeria’s leadership, the organisation is poised to strengthen its programmes, extend its reach, and continue driving meaningful change across Namibia.
