Van Namibië tot die Vatikaanstad

Henriette Lamprecht
Two Namibians recently had the privilege of being part of a gathering for deacons of the Roman Catholic Church in the Vatican City in Rome.
Reverend Adolf Kinda, deacon attached to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Rehoboth, and Reverend Jannie Hartung, deacon of the St. Stanislaus congregation in Keetmanshoop, were chosen to represent Southern Africa.
Both had the privilege of meeting Pope Leo XIV before he was elected to office.
Until his election, Robert Francis Prevost served as Cardinal-Deacon of Santa Monica and is the 267th and current Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, Bishop of Rome and Head of State of Vatican City. He succeeded Pope Francis who died on 21 April this year. – [email protected]
