Steenkamp opens NUST animation department

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) has launched its Department of Digital Arts and Animation under the theme “Reimagining Storytelling through Digital Innovation” in Windhoek yesterday. Education minister Sanet Steenkamp, officiated at the event held at the NUST campus. Steenkamp said the move signals that Namibia is taking the creative economy seriously, recognising creativity not as a luxury but as a driver of innovation, identity, and inclusive growth.
