N$150 000 boost Michelle McLean Children Trust Golf Day

Old Mutual Wealth has reaffirmed its partnership with the Michelle McLean Children Trust as the title sponsor of the highly anticipated Michelle McLean Children Trust Golf Day, taking place in Swakopmund on 5 December 2025.
This year, Old Mutual Wealth has committed N$150 000 to the event, underscoring its dedication to empowering communities through education and financial literacy.
The golf day remains one of Namibia’s most sought-after charity events, with tickets selling out within 48 hours of opening, clear proof of its popularity and the community’s enthusiasm for meaningful causes. As a highlight on Namibia’s social calendar, the event brings together golf enthusiasts and philanthropists for a day of sport and purpose.
Proceeds will support the trust’s key initiatives, including the Michelle McLean Primary School in Otjomuise, financial literacy programmes for learners, and women’s empowerment projects.
Michelle McLean, founder of the trust, expressed her excitement, saying: “The golf day is more than just a sporting event; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Namibians. We are deeply grateful to Old Mutual Wealth for their unwavering support and generous sponsorship.”
Old Mutual Wealth CEO, Wikus Fourie, highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying: “At Old Mutual Wealth, we believe in building legacies that go beyond financial success. Our sponsorship reflects our commitment to education and financial empowerment, ensuring sustainable growth for our communities.”
