Nictus padels for good

The courts came alive with energy and purpose as Nictus Holdings hosted its annual Charity Padel Day, bringing together players, families and friends for a day of sport, fun and giving back.
This year’s event raised funds for nine local charities that play a vital role in uplifting and empowering communities across Namibia. The beneficiaries are Huis Maerua, Netwerk, Windhoek High School, the Cancer Association of Namibia, Legacy of Love, Have-A-Heart, Lechem, Dagbreek School and the One Economy Foundation.
Each organisation was chosen for its contribution to society and the positive impact it continues to make through education, healthcare, animal welfare and social development.
Nictus Holdings and its subsidiaries expressed pride in supporting these initiatives and helping them continue their work.
Following the padel matches, the day concluded with a lively charity auction, featuring a range of items generously donated by suppliers. Attendees enthusiastically took part, with all proceeds going directly to the supported charities. The spirited auction added an engaging finish to a day centred on teamwork and compassion.
“Our Charity Padel Day is about more than just sport; it’s about community,” said Philippus Tromp, managing director of Nictus Holdings. “It’s a chance to come together, have fun and make a difference in a way that’s grounded in humility and shared purpose. As wealth creators, we believe in creating opportunities that extend beyond business into the heart of the communities we serve.”
Nictus Holdings extended heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, partners and participants who made the event possible. Their contributions, whether through donations, time or resources, helped turn a day of sport into a meaningful gesture of support for those who need it most.
