Donate now to save lives later

The Blood Transfusion Service of Namibia (NAMBTS) hosts a blood donation clinic in Windhoek on Saturday (1 April) at the NAMBTS headquarters at 35 Tal Street from 08:00 to 14:00, in preparation to build blood stock levels before the Easter Weekend.
“We urge all eligible and healthy blood donors to donate and help ensure that lives are saved. We also encourage old donors, who had taken a break from donating blood to start donating again,” clinic planner Wendy Willemse said.
She added that NAMBTS helps give patients access to safe blood and blood products in sufficient quantities as a key component of an effective health system. An adequate supply can only be ensured through regular donations by voluntary, unpaid blood donors who assist NAMBTS in bridging the gap between what the hospitals demand in contrast to what NAMBTS is able to supply to these medical institutions.
Transport is available on request; contact Esline on 081 122 1265 for further details.
