Manica supports MSR in the fight against unemployment
The Manica Group Namibia has donated N$104 000 to Men on the Side of the Road (MSR) to further strengthen and expand its services.Upon handing over the donation, Manica's head of sustainability, Trudi van Rooyen, said: "If we can help one person find a job, it makes a huge difference. This person can change their environment and their circumstances. We make a difference – one person at a time."
MSR was founded in 2007 to connect unemployed people with job and training opportunities. From offices in Windhoek, Swakopmund, and Walvis Bay, the organisation offers support. This includes training in basic skills, financial literacy, communication, and job application skills.
MSR director Crystal Beukes acknowledged the donation, which will be used to fund the planned expansion of the training centers. “I am grateful for the support and hope to continue working with Manica in the future,” she said.
