‘Coach C’ awarded N$35k for high-performance seminar
The Namibia Beach Volleyball Hub (NBVH) has awarded coach Aloisius ‘Coach C’ Ishitile a full sponsorship valued at up to N$35 350 to attend a beach volleyball high-performance coaching seminar in Dakar, Senegal, next month.
Scheduled from 6 to 14 August, the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) High-Performance Seminar for Beach Volleyball Coaches will bring selected coaches from across the continent to enhance technical expertise and coaching standards.
NBVH’s sponsorship covers the CAVB registration fee, return airfare from Namibia to Dakar, accommodation, meals, local transportation, visa-related expenses, vaccinations and travel insurance.
In a statement issued recently, NBVH founder Joachim Schuckmann said the full sponsorship is to ensure that Ishitile can focus fully on what he does best: learning, leading and lifting the game.
Continental opportunity
Schuckmann said for Namibia, the seminar represents a direct connection to the continental high-performance network and a statement that the country’s coaches belong on that stage.
“[Ishitile] is the head coach of Afrocat Sports Club and has dedicated many years to volleyball development at club, regional and national level. He is one of the driving forces behind high-standard beach volleyball in the country,” he noted.
“He is committed to improving his level wherever possible and is deeply involved in the development of players, teams and fellow coaches.
“His journey to Dakar is an investment not only in one person, but in every athlete he will guide in the years to come.”
Knowledge to be shared
The knowledge will not stay in Dakar. Following the seminar, Ishitile will submit a participation report and conduct at least two free coaching clinics or workshops under the NBVH brand, sharing what he has learned with athletes and coaches across the country.
He will also support NBVH tournaments and development activities as a technical resource and affiliated coach ambassador, and will share photographs, video content and key lessons from the seminar with the volleyball community.

“This opportunity is not only for my personal growth as a coach. The knowledge and experience gained will be shared with athletes and coaches to support the continued development of beach volleyball in the country,” Ishitile said.
Private-sector support
Schuckmann said: “We support Coach C because people like him are the foundation on which this sport is built. He is determined, he is consistent, and he gives back to the game at every level.
“Developing qualified coaches means stronger programmes, better athletes and a brighter future for beach volleyball in the country. We are proud to make this possible.”
The sponsorship demonstrates the important role that private organisations can play in developing qualified coaches.
It also reflects the NBVH’s core purpose: to promote the sport across Namibia and CAVB Zone Six and to open international doors for the people who drive it forward.
