CVA League wraps up final round first leg

Fourteen matches are set to be played across three courts in the men's and women's divisions.
The Central Volleyball Association (CVA) League wraps up its final round of the first leg tomorrow at Otjomuise’s Ramatex Hall.Having kicked off with week one matches on 12 April at the University of Namibia (Unam) Gym Hall, the week seven matches will feature simultaneous triple-court action across courts A to C.
Court A features men’s division action, where Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust) Blazers will first take on City of Windhoek at 09:00, followed by the Kudos and Afrocat E clash at 11:00.
The Blazers will return to court to face Unam Kings at 13:00, with the latter immediately squaring off with Nust Falcons at 15:00, before the Blazers return for the final match against Afrocat D at 17:00.
Court B will also feature men’s action, where Afrocat E open their campaign facing Training Establishment at 09:00, before the unbeaten defending champions NamPower grace the court to take on Nust Falcons at 11:00.
City of Windhoek will return to court for their second and final match against Unam Kings D at 13:00, followed by Training Establishment’s second fixture with Kudos at 15:00 and NamPower’s final fixture with Namibia Defence Force (NDF) Hurricanes at 17:00.
The ladies’ fixtures will be featured on Court C, where Afrocat Titans kickstart the day facing log leaders Deutscher Turn und Sportverein (DTS) at 09:00.
City Warriors will face City of Windhoek at 11:00 and immediately follow with their clash against Afrocat Ladies at 13:00. The final fixture of the day on this court will see Nust square off with City of Windhoek at 15:00.
Speaking to this publication, CVA chairperson Veronica Sampapi said the log standings for how the competition has unfolded and which teams have been outstanding will only be available today.
