Cycle Challenge postponed to 2025

Nedbank Namibia has informed all stakeholders that the Nedbank Cycle Challenge will not be held this year and has been postponed to February 2025.
Nedbank Namibia’s initial decision to postpone the race in February was made in the wake of the untimely passing of His Excellency, Dr Hage G Geingob, and for the solemn observation of both the period of national mourning and His Excellency’s timeless legacy.
“We were hopeful of rescheduling the race for 21 April 2024. However, the increasing logistical demands of our commitment to the extensive array of sponsored cycling races, including national and international races hosted locally, coupled with the commencement of our other logistics-heavy sponsorship properties like the Nedbank Kapana Cook-Off and Nedbank for Good Series, compromises our intent to host a peerless Nedbank Cycle Challenge quite significantly,” the bank said in a statement.
“The necessary teams have been engaged to ensure a smooth logistical process of refunding cyclists who had initially entered into the Nedbank Cycle Challenge and to furnish information on the new date in February 2025.”
