FC Ongos ladies team will officially be crowned as champions of the FNB Women’s Super League this weekend.
The team that dominated the season will officially receive their trophy and medals on Saturday.
Their final match of the season will be against VPower Angels at 15:00.
This will also mark the end of what many had deemed as an entertaining season.
The club won the league with a few games to spare and are also in the final of the PstBet NFA cup, which they go in as favorites against Khomas Nampol Ladies later on in the season.
The focus this time will however be at the NFA technical center as organizers plan an official closing ceremony.
“This year’s FNB WSL has surpassed expectations. Unlike previous years where winners were decided well before the final whistle, the battle for second place has pushed the league to a thrilling climax.
This relentless competition is a testament to the tremendous growth and talent development within the Namibian women’s football scene,” the NFA said in a statement.
There will be a total of six matches on the day as the curtain closes down on the super league.
