Final league round set to decide fistball playoff positions
The fourth and final round of the 2026 African Marketing Fistball League will take place on 5 September at the Cohen Fistball Club (CFC), with teams battling for crucial points and playoff positions.
The biggest contest is in the A League, where CFC 1 and SFC 1 are level on 31 points at the top of the standings. CFC 1 currently occupies first place thanks to a superior ball difference, leaving little room for error in the final round.
SKW 1 sits third on 16 points, followed by CFC 2 and SKW 2. The top two teams will qualify directly for the semi-finals, while the remaining sides will have to navigate the playoff structure to keep their title hopes alive.
There is also plenty to play for in the B League, where SKW 3 has established a strong lead with 28 points. SFC 2 is second on 22 points, while SKW 4 and CFC 3 are on 19 and 16 points respectively.
Although SKW 3 appears firmly in control, the battle for the remaining direct semi-final spot could go down to the final matches, with SFC 2 needing to maintain its advantage over the chasing teams.
In the U18 League, SKW 1 leads on 15 points, while CFC 1 and SKW 2 are tied on four points. SFC 1 is just one point further back on three points. The final round will determine the positions heading into the playoffs.
The U12 and U15 categories will also feature at CFC, although these age groups will compete in their own tournaments rather than in the league standings.
With direct semi-final qualification and playoff positions still to be settled, the fourth round promises plenty of action as teams look to finish the league phase strongly and carry momentum into the knockout stages.
