Gallina heats up

Ideal preparation for national MX team
Saturday's Namibian national MX championships series event was once again a hit with spectators.

The fifth round of the Namibian national MX championships on Saturday at Gallina MX Park in Brakwater was once again a huge success.
Although the school holidays played a role in the decreased number of entries, the 50 cc, 65 cc and 125 cc classes were the best represented with 16 competitors of the 35 entries.
Namibia Media Holdings' Network Television (NTV) broadcast the action live on DStv channel 285, GOtv, oneup2.com and its social media platforms.
The highlight of the day was - as usual - the King of the Dirt race at the end, with several classes in the starting gate for the last race of the day on a perfectly prepared track.
The talented Juan de Vos raced excellently on his 85 cc bike to end ninth overall in King of the Dirt.
Younger riders on smaller racing machines also upped their game by huge margins to gain experience and self-confidence.
The event presented ideal preparation for the national MX team-building for the African Championships in August in Cape Town.
