Gymnasium and WHS start title defence

The Standard Bank Namibia Secondary Schools Rugby (NSSR) Under-19 Super League kickstarts this weekend with all eight teams in action in four matches.
Windhoek Gymnasium’s King Price Lions and Samsung Windhoek High School will both start their new campaign after the two schools faced each other in the 2023 final which ended in a dramatic 34-34 draw at the Hage Geingob Stadium.
In accordance with NSSR regulations, no extra time was played, while the trophy is shared for six months at each school.

Last year’s bronze medallist Windhoek Afrikaans Private School will host Tsumeb Gymnasium at Affies Park. Viewers can catch this match live on NTV channel 285 and GoTv channel 25.
Windhoek Gymnasium start their campaign with a home game against PSG Walvis Bay Private School, while Private School Elnatan take on Moria’s OK Bere at Stampriet.
