Liqui Fruit backs DTS with N$120 000
The DTS Beach Volleyball section has received a sponsorship boost of more than N$120 000 from Liqui Fruit to support the growth of beach volleyball in the country.
The sponsorship will be used mainly to provide prize money for four beach volleyball tournaments this season. The events form part of DTS’ efforts to raise the level of competition and create more incentives for players.
Liqui Fruit has also committed to continuing the partnership through this year’s season and beyond, with a further sponsorship commitment of N$120 000 for next season.
The first event on the calendar will be the DTS Liqui Fruit Winter Classic, scheduled for this Saturday at the DTS Beach Volleyball Arena in Windhoek.
DTS Beach Volleyball section chairperson Heiko Kesselmann welcomed the support, saying it will make a meaningful contribution to the development of the sport.
“Thanks to Hubertus Hamm from Bokomo Namibia and Liqui Fruit for supporting beach volleyball in the country,” said Kesselmann.
“Liqui Fruit’s continued commitment is a significant contribution to the development of the sport and provides valuable opportunities for our athletes to compete and improve.”
Kesselmann said the sponsorship will also help the DTS Beach Volleyball section create opportunities to host training camps featuring high-profile international coaches in future.
The section said the partnership will allow it to continue building the sport and giving players regular platforms to compete.
