The Nedbank for Good Series coastal leg will get underway on 29 August, with three consecutive events along Namibia’s coastline before concluding on 12 September.

The series has grown significantly since its inception in 2020, developing from a purpose-driven golf initiative into a nationally recognised amateur tournament that combines competitive golf with community impact.

It has become a fixture on Namibia’s golfing calendar, attracting growing participation from players across the country. Since its launch, the series has raised close to N$1.5 million for charitable causes while reaching more than 70% of Namibia’s golfing fraternity.

The 2026 coastal leg will feature three events:

  • 29 August: Rossmund Golf Course, Swakopmund
  • 5 September: Walvis Bay Golf Club, Walvis Bay
  • 12 September: Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate, Henties Bay

The series provides golfers with an opportunity to compete at some of the country’s leading courses while supporting programmes aimed at creating a positive impact in communities.

Nedbank Namibia Communications and PR Manager Selma Kaulinge said the continued growth of the series demonstrates the power of sport to bring people together.

‘The Nedbank for Good Series has become one of the most anticipated fixtures on Namibia’s sporting calendar. What started as a platform to combine sport and social impact has grown into a movement that brings together golfers and corporate partners around a shared purpose,’ she said.

Kaulinge added that Nedbank’s investment in the series forms part of the bank’s broader commitment to sport development in Namibia.

‘As money experts who do good, we recognise the power of sport to unite communities, inspire healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities for social and economic development,’ she said.

‘Every year we see increased participation, stronger partnerships, and greater awareness around the causes we support. That momentum is a reflection of the trust that players, clubs, and stakeholders have placed in the tournament over the years.’

Nedbank Namibia has supported the development of several sporting codes over the years, including netball, football, cricket, cycling, volleyball and athletics.

Series organiser Dan Zwiebel said the tournament’s success was built on the support of the golfing community and its ability to combine competition with social impact.

‘What makes the Nedbank for Good Series special is that it has grown organically through the support of the golfing community. Every year the event becomes more competitive, inclusive and impactful,’ he said.

Zwiebel said the coastal leg remains particularly popular because of its combination of quality golfing venues and a unique atmosphere that attracts players from across the country.

The series also continues to support Agra ProVision, its current beneficiary. Funds raised through the tournament contribute towards agricultural training and development initiatives aimed at empowering farmers and communities across Namibia through improved skills and knowledge.

Following the coastal leg, the series will continue at Omeya Golf Club on 26 September, before the Grand Finale at Windhoek Golf Club on 13 November.

The Nedbank for Good Series is supported by Nedbank Namibia as title sponsor, Autohaus Windhoek as official vehicle sponsor and Caltex Retail Namibia as official fuel sponsor, alongside Arebbusch Travel Lodge, JTC Namibia, Pupkewitz Megabuild, King Price Insurance, Maranatha Poultry, Namibia Wine Merchants, B2Gold, N/a’an ku sê Ecotourism Collection, AfricaOnline Namibia, AGRA, SCI Africa and Radiowave FM.
