NFA Futsal Cup knockout looms
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Futsal Cup will take place from 13 to 21 June 2026, bringing together Premier League and First Division teams in a knockout competition that promises exciting action and a chance for clubs to compete for national honours.
The tournament will begin with First Division sides battling for places in the second round. The eight winners will then face the bottom eight teams from the Premier League, with the draw already determining the tournament bracket and opening fixtures.
NFA spokesperson Cassius Moeti said futsal remains an important part of football development in Namibia and deserves the same recognition as other formats of the game.
"We have seen the impact futsal has had in the country, especially with Namibia having qualified for AFCON before. This tournament provides an important platform for teams to showcase their talent and contributes to the continued growth of the sport," Moeti said.
The opening round will see Emirates FC take on Glamour Boys FC, while Green FC face Windhoek FC. Samba FC Boys have been drawn against Saints FC, and Flying Fives FC will meet 247 Fitness in another intriguing encounter.
Elsewhere, Ongos FC will take on Young Ballers FC, Goais FC will face Leucite FC, and Al Noor FC will meet Selecao FC. The final first-round fixture pits HTB FC against Woodsoccer FC.
All first-round matches will be played at Concordia College on Saturday, 13 June, with kick-off times to be announced by the organisers.
The eight victorious teams will advance to the second round on Sunday, 14 June, where they will face the bottom eight Premier League clubs as the race for the 2026 NFA Futsal Cup gathers momentum.
