NHU welcomes Pro-Ed Old Boys

Hockey
The Namibia Hockey Union hosted its annual general meeting for the year 2023 recently.
Alongside many deliberations, the AGM was set to elect a replacement for a position which was vacated by Sedtric Makati. The AGM unanimously elected Paulus Fillipus to serve as an additional member to the executive committee.
Fillipus, until his election, served as the vice-president of the NUST Hockey Club. He also served as the SRC president of NUST in 2022 and SRC of Sports and Culture in 2021, at the same institution.
As per the NHU constitution and by-laws, all new club applications should be reviewed and approved at an AGM. The NHU received an application of a new club, Pro-Ed Old Boys Hockey Club, based in Swakopmund. The club application was presented by the head coach, Ruan Oosthuizen, and their approval was unanimously voted for by members of the AGM.
The NHU has expressed appreciation to Sedtric Makati for his time in the executive, while also welcoming Paulus Fillipus on board. The NHU also welcomes Pro-Ed Hockey Club and wish them all the best for their first competitive season in 2024.
