NUST Babes coach Dankie Frans expressed his frustration after his team lost 1-0 to V-Power Angels on Saturday, citing the lack of support from the top as the major problem.
NUST Babes struggled to score any goals against V-Power Angels in the FNB Women’s Super League at the NFA Technical Centre.
The student club has been on the receiving end of back to back defeats this season.
Coach Tangi, as he is known, believes the club can only improve if the management listen to his cry.
“I am very disappointed with the defeat, but the result was predictable because we do not have enough players.
“I’ve spoken and requested the leadership to avail resources in order for me to bring in new players, but all that has fallen on deaf ears because they are reluctant to act.
“I do not know how this situation is going to change if the management does not want anything to change,” Frans fumed.
V-Power Angels assistant coach Venson Hamalwa on the other hand congratulated his team on a hard fought victory.
He however shared his frustration towards the pitch condition and match timing.
“It was a good performance from the team and I am happy we managed to win the game.
“I am however not happy that we play this game at this kick-off time because it is hot and the pitch makes it even worse because it is in bad shape.
“I also think they must increase the number of water breaks during this time of the day,” Amwala said.
Debora Vries netted the only goal of the match of the day to give her side the victory.
In other league action, front-runners Ongos FC Memory Ngonda scored a hattrick as her side beat Arrows Ladies 3-0.
Meanwhile in the late match, Ramblers beat Khomas Nampol 3-2.
