Stones Water Polo club hosted their first-ever Water Polo for All tournament at the Katutura swimming pool on Sunday.
Peter Brinkman, a member of the OTB Sport organizing committee, said: “'We were very happy with the turnout and how the tournament went. We had over 130 players playing, in 20 teams.
“We had a junior category for players younger than 14, a ladies category and an open category.
“The atmosphere was great throughout the day, with people playing, socialising and having a great time. All the matches were played in a great spirit and it looked like everyone really enjoyed the matches.
“The event received great support from Nasfed (Namibia Aquatic Sports Federation) and the local swimming clubs.
“Our plan remains to re-grow the sport in Namibia, so spectators can look forward to more such events.”
