Plenty to admire as hockey rivals clash

Two brilliant, huge competitive finals for both men and women delivered exactly the kind of showpiece Africa Indoor Cup that spectators and viewers would have been hoping for.
Despite Botswana’s late arrival at Swakopmund and subsequent disqualification to only play friendly fixtures, and Zimbabwe’s valiant struggles to keep up with the two stronger nations in the indoor code, the fierce rivalry between Namibia and South Africa delivered breath-taking magic moments of skill, team work and determination.
As the end result, as expected, Namibia and South Africa both booked the places for their men’s and women’s teams to compete at next February’s FIH Indoor World Cup in Croatia.
