POISON FC claims N$2 000 in CastleBet Sport Wrap Fantasy League
Simon Katimba of POISON FC claimed the September Manager Prize in the CastleBet Sport Wrap Fantasy League, walking away with N$2,000 after finishing top among the eligible managers with 240 points.
Reinhold Johannes of The vikings finished second on 226 points to claim N$1,000, while Festus Antonio of Saint Antonio, also on 226 points, took third place and received N$500.
The September competition had a total prize purse of N$3,500, with only managers who had secured their spots in the CastleBet Sport Wrap Fantasy League eligible for the monthly prizes.
Speaking after his victory, Katimba said his approach was based on using his chips wisely while also planning beyond individual gameweeks.
“At the start you should always use your chips. Make sure you have the great players, but also don't just use your chips for that month or that week,” he said.
Katimba added that he also considered players who could deliver consistently over a longer period rather than making decisions based solely on one gameweek.
His victory came despite The underground star, managed by Sammy Namwila, finishing top of the overall Fantasy Premier League standings with 251 points. However, Namwila was not eligible for the September Manager Prizes because he had not secured his spot in the CastleBet Sport Wrap league.
Katimba also received CastleBet merchandise, including a shirt and a bag, as part of the prize presentation.
With September concluded, managers can look ahead to October, with more prizes set to be announced.
Managers are reminded to secure their spots in the league. Send #Castlebet to 085 785 6231 and follow the instructions. October is getting bigger, with more prizes loading.
