Street Fighter goes on tour

The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) recently celebrated the crowning of its champions at the Street Fighter 6 tournament.
An inspiring highlight was the selection of Jannie Potgieter, a talented Namibian, to represent the country in the fighting game Street Fighter 6 at the upcoming Global Esports Federation (GEF) tournaments.
Jannie’s journey will start at the GEF Online African Regionals, and if successful, he will proudly compete at the prestigious Global Esports Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
MTC Namibia, NESA’s partner, and sponsors Logitech and Nanodog played pivotal roles in making this event a success. Their support underlines the growing significance of e-sports in Namibia.
The tournament took place at NUST's MTC Innovation Centre at the HTTPS building, an epicentre of gaming enthusiasm.
The winners showcased extraordinary skill and strategy, with the top spots awarded to:
