Triegaardt wins at Windhoek Club

On the first weekend of 2024, the Windhoek Golf Club hosted a divisional individual stableford competition, sponsored by DStv.
The competition was supported by 36 players – a small, but promising beginning to the new season. It was an exceptionally hot and humid day on the course.
One prize per division was up for grabs. Top results were as follows:
A Division (handicap index <13)
1 Willem Triegaardt (39), 2 Gaurav Talwar (36), 3 Andre Visser (34), 4 Cornelis Beuke (33), 5 Toady Gurirab (32), 6 Dewald Coetzee (30)
B division (handicap index 13-18.9)
1 Quintin Esterhuizen (39), 2 Jullian Stoffels (37), 3 Ian Wood (35).
C division (handicap index 19 plus)
1 Keith Gardiner (42), 2 Tlamelo Mohale (40, count-out), 3 Jurgen Johannesson (40).
Nearest to the pin prizes were sponsored by the Windhoek SAGES branch and were won as follows: Jullian Stoffels (hole 3), Birgit Schaffitz (hole 9), Toady Gurirab (hole 13) and Gaurav Talwar (hole 17).
This coming weekend the club will host a club competition (Committee vs Members).
