Cycling challenge postponed to next year

Nedbank Namibia announced that their annual Cycle Challenge has been postponed to February 2025.
The bank’s initial decision to postpone the race earlier this year was made in the wake of the passing of His Excellency, Dr Hage G Geingob, and for the solemn observation of the period of national mourning.
According to spokesperson Selma Kaulinge, they were hoping to reschedule the race for 21 April 2024. “However, the increasing logistical demands of our commitment to the extensive array of sponsored cycling races, including national and international races hosted locally, coupled with the commencement of our other logistics-heavy sponsorship properties like the Nedbank Kapana Cook-Off and Nedbank for Good Series, compromises our intent to host a peerless Nedbank Cycle Challenge significantly.”
She said that the respective teams have been engaged to ensure a smooth logistical process of refunding cyclists who had already entered the challenge and furnish information on the new date for next year.
