DHPS welcomes champion hockey players
The success of the Namibian youth inline hockey teams at the World Skate Games 2022, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November, has been the talk of the town. The junior girls did not lose a single match in Argentina and showed how great bravura, hard work, team cohesion and ambition can lead: They won the gold medal in Argentina.
After exciting and at times nerve-wracking games for the junior boys, they finished in an impressive 4th place in an illustrious field of competitors.
The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) welcomed their learners, who are part of the Namibian national inline hockey team, back to school on Monday. Their successful participation and excellent results were again acknowledged during a festive welcoming ceremony with the school community and parents, with the school administration, LRC and the sports department addressing and motivating the young athletes.
Congratulations to the two Namibian inline hockey teams, especially to DHPS learners Dominik Braun, Julian Dedig, Mickah Januarie and Henning Schulze as well as the inline hockey world champions Maike Dedig, Lea Reiff, Jada Tati and Michelle Wirtz.
