DTS announces top sport stars
The Deutscher Turn- & Sportverein Windhoek (DTS) recently recognised the achievements of a number of DTS sportspersons.“Congratulations to everyone - each player is part of the game. Without you, there would be no game and no winners. We do sport because when we step onto the court or field, we know that this is what we love to do. We put in the work and the time to get better because we want to. And that is what sport teaches you - to give it all you have,” DTS Chairman Axel Dainat said.
The “Beach Party”-themed award ceremony, held at the DTS premises in Windhoek, was again characterised by a great atmosphere, sportsmanship, delicious food and proud moments.
Winners
The winners in the various categories are as follows:
• DTS Sportsperson of the year 2022 – Junior: Maike Dedig (Inline Hockey Kamikaze) & Keanan Simpson (Inline Hockey PGKA Warriors)
• DTS Sportsperson of the year 2022 – Senior: Jan Eric Sack (Beach Volleyball)
• DTS Team of the Year 2022: Beach Volleyball (Romy & Piroschka Lück)
