Ten Namibian archers participated in the Africa Regional Field Archery Championships 2023 hosted in Namibia last weekend.
In very cold and windy conditions, the Namibian team participated against South Africa and Zambia.
The results of the Namibian archers were as follows:
Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited Class
Jannie Meuwesen (Windhoek) 1st place
Adult Male Bow Hunter Unlimited Class
Rene Rossler (Luderitz) 2nd place
Adult Female Bow Hunter Unlimited Class
Liezl Schoeman (Windhoek) 3rd place
Young Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited
Cobus Barnard (Windhoek) 3rd place
Namibia also participated in various team events and won a bronze and two silver medals.
The Archery Association of Namibia is proud of each participating archer and they thank their sponsors Checkers, Prime Press, Varta and Pupkewitz Mega Build for their support.
