SKW and CFC dominate opening round at SFC

The African Marketing Fistball League kicked off its 2026 season on 14 March at the SFC grounds, marking the return of league competition after a year-long hiatus. Teams from across Namibia competed in the A and B leagues, alongside several youth categories, delivering an action-packed start to the season.

In the A League, CFC 1 set the pace with 12 points, claiming top spot, followed closely by SFC 1 on 10 points. SKW 1 secured third place with 8 points, while CFC 2 and SKW 2 finished with 3 and 1 point respectively.

The B League saw SKW 3 dominate, finishing the round with 12 points. SFC 2 claimed second with 9 points, CFC 3 took third with 6 points, followed by SKW 4 on 3 points. SFC 3 is still waiting to register its first point.

Youth competitions added to the excitement. In the u/12 tournament, SKW 1 topped the standings with 9 points, ahead of CFC 1 on 6 points. SFC 2 and SFC 1 each secured 1 point. In the u/15 category, SKW led with 6 points, while CFC and SFC collected 1 point each. The u/18 league saw SKW 1 at the summit with 6 points, followed by CFC 1 with 3 points; SFC 1 is yet to find its form.

Players of the day included Malte Iben (u/12), Marko von Flotow (u/15) and Claudia Schlettwein in the senior league.
