Fistball league enters second round

The Bank Windhoek Fistball League hosts its second round on Saturday (9 April 2022) at the Cohen Fistball Club (CFC) in the capital.
Starting off at 08:00, hosts CFC 1 will try to extend its lead over the competition, while Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW), after a sobering fifth place on the first match day, will have to collect vital points to stay in the Category A Championship race.
Group A sees teams drawn according to their respective placements of the last league round. CFC 1, SFC 1, Swakopmund Fistball Club (SFC 1), and SKW 2 will battle it out for dominance, and spectators can look forward to exciting encounters in this Group.
CFC 1 skipper Andre Meng has set out their ambitions to cause yet another upset against SKW.
The reserve team from SKW will be underdogs in this tough preliminary round.
Thrilling matches
SKW 3, CFC 2, SFC 2, and CFC 3 compete in Group B. SKW 3, currently in second place on the league table, is mooted as a favourite for the Group victory. However, CFC 2 will strive to use its home turf advantage to secure a semi-final qualification.
The winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B and vice versa in the semi-final. The same applies to the third and fourth-placed teams.
The Bank Windhoek Fistball League is looking forward to thrilling matches in the u/16 categories. Two teams from SFC and another two teams from SKW will compete for bragging rights. SKW A is currently in first place, closely followed by SFC A. Three u/13 SKW and one from the coast have also registered for the second league tournament.
