MTC NamLAN 2022 successfully concluded

Various individuals and teams gathered at the SKW event hall in Windhoek last week to participate in the MTC NamLAN – LAN of the Brave 2022 event, where they would socialise and battle it out for top prizes in eight games.
Hosted by the Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA), and backed by NESA's esports partner, MTC, and the other generous sponsors Logitech, Switch and Nanodog, and especially with great appreciation for the community, the MTC NamLAN 2022 is declared an official success.
Despite some challenges along the way, the event set out to be bigger than ever, following two years of online NamLAN. The primary focuses were to promote the social aspect of communal gaming and to celebrate the shared passion everyone holds for it.
Over the past 15 years, it was the biggest turnout at a physical NamLAN event, with 104 participants engaging in 132 matches, having formed 26 unique teams and taking part in 55 solo matches. A grand total of N$110 000 has been awarded to winners across the eight game titles along with random event rewards being issued to participants.
NESA thanks its sponsors, community, supporters and volunteers for bringing this event to life.
If any attendees have any feedback on the event, feel free to mail [email protected].
NESA hopes to improve for the MTC NamLAN 2023 event, and make it even more memorable.
