WIS hosts first fishing bonanza

Excitement is running high for the first-ever Windhoek International School (WIS) Fish Eagle Bonanza taking place at Monte Christo Riverside camping (Archer’s Land) on Saturday (25 February).
According to the organisers, there are lots of prizes to be won as well as various stalls for you to support, with all proceeds in aid of fundraising for the school. They also hope that this event will become an annual one.
The highlight, of course, is the angling competition, for which participation costs N$100 per adult and N$50 per child.
A prize-giving and dinner takes place thereafter. Dinner - a delicious braai with two salads and a small dessert - costs N$150 per person. There will also be an auction in support of school sports.
Take note that there are campsites available at N$200 per adult and N$100 per child. If you’re not planning on overnighting, park fees of N$100 per adult and N$50 per child is also payable.
Fishing shirts and buffs can be ordered from Hester at 081 462 4572, who is also available to share additional information.
The organisers thank Architectural Outlet, Premier Solutions Africa, Ford, the Steenbras Angling Club and the Namibia Freshwater Bank Angling Association for their support.
