Diekman and Fourie crowned champions at Namibian closed squash

Namibian squash enthusiasts were treated to an exhilarating weekend at the Namibian Closed Championships, as players showcased top-level skill.

In the Men’s A division, Arno Diekman claimed the championship title after a tense final against Le-Hugo van Rooyen, who finished as runner-up. Danie Greef secured third place, rounding out a competitive podium.

On the women’s side, Charné Fourie emerged victorious in the Ladies A division, with Chantell de Gouveia taking second place and Adri Lambert finishing third. The B Division also delivered thrilling contests, with Shardé Fisher crowned champion, JC Platt finishing second, and Phillip Balhao securing third.

The finals, particularly the Men’s A clash between Le-Hugo van Rooyen and Arno Diekman, kept spectators on the edge of their seats, highlighting the growing standard of squash in Namibia.
