Green sponsors Django Day at PyCon
Green Enterprise Solutions was a special sponsor of PyCon Namibia 2026, reinforcing its support for Namibia’s developer community and open-source innovation.
The Namibian information and communication technology (ICT) services provider sponsored Django Day, a dedicated segment of the conference focused on web development using one of Python’s most widely used frameworks. The programme brought together developers, designers and students to explore the development of real-world web applications, APIs and data-driven platforms using Django.
Django Day featured workshops covering both fundamental and advanced topics, technical talks by professionals from across Africa and beyond, as well as live coding sessions and mentorship opportunities. The sessions offered practical, hands-on experience while strengthening collaboration within Namibia’s growing technology community.
Green’s Georgena Lombard said the sponsorship aligned with the company’s broader innovation objectives. “Supporting initiatives like PyCon Namibia reflects our commitment to driving innovation through technology. Through Django Day, we are investing directly in the growth of Namibia’s developer community and the creation of scalable, impactful digital solutions.”
PyCon Namibia 2026, which took place last week, attracted a diverse community of developers, students and technology professionals committed to knowledge-sharing and innovation.
