MTC lifts restriction on Aweh

In the first step in its effort to bring more innovation and affordable solutions to the Namibian market in the coming months, MTC users will no longer be limited in the number of Aweh packages they can hold simultaneously. The state-owned telecommunications service previously restricted this to three concurrent subscriptions.
MTC’s General Manager for Product Solutions, Andreas Gustav, said that the decision was made in response to customer demand and market trends. “This is a revised Aweh journey where our prepaid customers can now subscribe to as many Aweh packages as they want, giving them control. You are no longer limited to just three renewals, and you don’t have to wait for active subscriptions to expire. You can subscribe to as many Awehs as you want,” he said.
In a media statement, MTC said the move will enable the company to keep pace with market demand. “In a world where flexibility and convenience are at the core of customer experience, offering solutions that meet market demand has become essential. In line with this, MTC, in its effort to always offer updated and quality customer benefits, has made unlimited Aweh subscriptions available to all customers in the market.”
Gustav emphasised that rapid adaptation is essential to MTC's success. “The importance of this rapid product improvement cannot be overstated. For users, it means greater flexibility, convenience, and control over how they stay connected, whether it is voice, data, or bundled package offerings. For the market, it demonstrates MTC's commitment to innovation, customer focus, and continuous value creation in delivering relevant, simple, and affordable solutions.” – [email protected]
