O&L Leisure adds to aircraft fleet
Redefining Namibian travel
Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Leisure has announced a significant step forward in luxury tourism with the expansion of its private aircraft fleet, enhancing access to its flagship destinations across Namibia. The acquisition includes two new aircraft: the King Air B350 (V5-DAN), tailored for executive charters and mid-sized groups of up to eight passengers, and a second Cirrus SR22 (V5-SLK), designed for sleek, private travel. These join the existing fleet of the Beechcraft 1900 V5-SAN, a 14-seater turboprop ideal for group travel, and the Cirrus SR22 V5-SGB.
This investment forms part of O&L Leisure’s Vision 2029 growth plan, which seeks to position the company as a leading provider of authentic, luxury travel experiences in Namibia. The upgraded fleet will offer direct, private access to top destinations including the newly reimagined Mokuti Etosha, the iconic Strand Hotel Swakopmund, the exclusive Chobe Water Villas in the Zambezi Region, and the scenic Midgard in the Otjihavera Mountains.
By connecting guests seamlessly from one destination to another, O&L aims to elevate the overall travel experience, offering a journey marked by comfort, convenience and unforgettable views. From flying over the vast Etosha salt pans to gliding along the Atlantic coast or descending into the lush Zambezi floodplains, travellers will experience Namibia from a unique aerial perspective.
“Our vision has always been to share Namibia through our eyes - with authenticity, care and passion,” said Sven Thieme, O&L Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director of O&L Leisure. “These aircraft aren’t just a mode of transport, they are part of the experience, allowing us to craft transformative journeys that reveal the soul of our country.”
As Namibia’s tourism sector continues to evolve, O&L Leisure’s investment marks a major milestone in luxury travel, reinforcing its commitment to showcasing Namibia’s beauty, culture, and heritage to the world, one flight at a time.
