E-notices take the wheel in licence renewal process

The Roads Authority (RA) is embarking on an electronic notification system for all vehicle license disk renewals and driver license renewal notices.
The migration to an electronic notification system replaces the outdated postal notification with paperless notifications. Thus, effective immediately, no renewal notices will be sent through Nampost any longer.
Going forward, all renewal notices will be sent via cellphone messaging (SMS) and email.
“Clients are urged to visit their nearest NaTIS office to request renewal notices and provide their updated contact details (cell phone numbers and email addresses), subject to positive identification,” the RA said in a media statement.
Furthermore, clients who make use of the online licence renewal platform do not need to visit the NaTIS, as their information is already updated on the system. Also, clients can register for the online renewal platform via www.ra.org.na.
According to the statement, corporate institutions, SOEs, and ministries may request vehicle and driver renewal notices by emailing [email protected] with positive identification of the company proxy or representative.
Renewal notices are communications sent to clients, reminding them that their vehicle license disk fees are due soon or that their driving licences are nearing expiration. These reminders are sent after billing renewals are generated on the system and before the payment due date.
