Walvis off FlyNamibia’s schedule
FlyNamibia announced the discontinuation of its domestic flights between Eros and Walvis Bay, effective from 1 August 2023.In a media release, the airline said that despite efforts to improve the route's performance, it did not meet expectations, leading to this decision.
Passengers with existing bookings will be contacted individually by the Customer Service team to provide suitable alternatives or arrange full refunds.
“FlyNamibia appreciates the loyalty and support of its passengers and apologises for the inconvenience caused,” the statement read.
However, the airline said it remained committed to customer satisfaction and would continue to provide exceptional service on its remaining routes.
FlyNamibia currently operates domestic routes from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Ondangwa, Rundu, Katima Mulilo, Oranjemund, and Lüderitz, as well as a regional route between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Cape Town International.
