Youth launch Londeka to transform transport sector

Londeka represents Namibia's first digital logistics solution powered by young entrepreneurs, designed to increase efficiency, productivity and economic opportunity.
A team of young Namibian innovators has launched Londeka, a digital logistics platform designed to connect empty trucks with available loads, marking a significant milestone for the country’s digital economy. The platform aims to reduce inefficiencies in the transport sector, create new economic opportunities, and position Namibia as a hub for innovation-driven growth.
Londeka tackles one of the industry’s biggest challenges: trucks travelling long distances empty. Through the platform, drivers can receive packages and parcels for delivery, ensuring journeys are optimised for productivity and efficiency. Users sign up, post loads, get matched with available trucks, and track deliveries, making the platform simple and user-friendly.
Founder Marthin Shigwedha said the platform was inspired by a desire to create solutions that contribute to national growth. “It is imperative that we, as young people, create avenues that will contribute to the growth of our country. Londeka was created to be a visionary that will lead Namibia into the global space,” he said.
Operations lead Mignon Nekuta highlighted the broader impact of Londeka on trade and communities: “Londeka is more than just a logistics platform. By connecting businesses, communities and drivers, we are creating an environment that supports growth, trade and opportunity for all.”
Business Development Lead Michael Shimwandi emphasised the benefits for truck drivers. “With Londeka, drivers are at the heart of logistics. By reducing empty trips, we help drivers earn more while contributing to a greener, smarter transport industry.”
Though the platform is launching in Namibia, its vision is global. Londeka is built to scale, with plans to expand across Africa and beyond, linking industries, communities and economies.
The platform is now calling on businesses, truck owners and logistics stakeholders to join this revolutionary initiative and celebrate the role of Namibian youth in driving the country into the digital age. The platform can be accessed at www.londeka.com.
