Heavy showers expected

Warnings of heavy rain, flash floods
A weather warning against heavy rain and flash floods has been issued for today over the northern regions and high-lying central areas as well as the Hardap region.
The storm is expected to spread to the northeast today, Paulina Mufeti of Namibia Hydrological Services said yesterday in their latest flood report.
This follows after satellites already observed good rainfall between Wednesday and Thursday over the north-western, central-northern, western and south-eastern areas of the country.
The met office also warns of "heavy rain in areas of the Khomas, Hardap and Zambezi regions" for today.
The non-governmental organisation LandWater, which scientifically analyses and interprets satellite photos, said yesterday that thunderstorms, along with countrywide rain, are starting to fall in central and northern Namibia.
